I am enjoying it to the fullest! I am more comfortable with the character this year, which has allowed me to grow with this ghost and more or less, just have fun doing it. And along with performing with many incredible actors and actresses, I get to share the stage with my daughter. And for me it doesn't get any better than that!”

Today’s Onstage Spotlight is on Will! •
Will’s roles include: Charity Man #3, Young Ebenezer, a Guest, a Monk, a Worker and Scrooge’s Double
•
“It’s great to be doing a Christmas Carol for the second year. It was my very first musical when I was in it last year and I am happy to reprise the same roles with many of the friends I made last year and to work with new people, too!
I really love the music in the show and I like using my other experiences from singing in rock and metal bands to bring some fun things into different songs, like the screams in Link By Link. I’ve learned so much about how to blend my voice with the group and have grown so much as a singer and performer because of this show and others with the Birder Players. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of these shows and to do more in the future.”
•
We have five more performances you can catch starting Wednesday running through Saturday! •

I am happy to be a member of the cast a second time around, reconnecting with past members and meeting the new ones! It is a privilege to help bring this beautiful story to life!”

Today’s Onstage Spotlight for “A Christmas Carol, The Musical” is Rich! •
His roles include: Charity Man #4, Fred Anderson (Scrooge’s Nephew), Scrooge’s Father & a Creditor
•
He said, “Reprising my role(s) allow me to connect with the Christmas season that is, for many of us, something that has been part of our upbringings.
A Christmas Carol has been the standard that all other stores have been compared to.
ARTreach is allowing kids the opportunities to connect with the arts in ways that would not be available to them if not for the work that is being done by Alicia and the Birder staff. Broadway Theatre is such a unique venue! The space is an intimate setting, while allowing for grand scale productions. Where else, as an audience member, do you get to be within 2 feet of the production, while still feeling that separation?
Birder players is an incredibly talented group of individuals that support each other as artists and draw from each other to bring out the best in each other, every rehearsal and/or show. Even on our worst days, we know that someone will be there to lift us up and make us a better actor/singer/dancer. We do this as a group because we genuinely care for each other. The care is what makes the performances as genuine for us as they are for our audiences. There are friendships develop that last far beyond the production.”
•
Come see Rich tonight 7:00 or tomorrow 2:00 & 7:00

Last year‘s production was my first players show, and in that one and the ones since I’ve learned a lot about responsibility and dependability as an actor. Having an opportunity to break out my cheesy cockney accent is fun, too!”
